Hello guys i need some help with the aircraft.cfg and the .air file of the Airsimmer A320 in order to use it with my cockpit. I have update to prepar 3d and i am using the pm software for my cokpit and the a320 airsimmer aircraft
for flying. I have remove everything from the panel.cfg ( in order not have any conflict with the pm software ) except the views sections which i have modify for my needs. The visual model and the sound inside prepar 3d are working fine but the aircraft when in air is very ustable. Bellow i am sending you my aircraft.cfg for reference so please if any of you knows how i can edit this and also the .air file in order for the a320 work fine with the prepar 3d i will be very gratfull. Many thanks in advance.

I'm sorry but I doubt this will work. The FBW is run through the aircrafts ELACS,SECS & FACS using seperate config files within the airsimmer folder. I doubt this will work with Project Magenta.

Oh i see. So you can't provide just an aircraft.cfg and an .air file without the systems to be used only with the visual model so i can use it with project magenta?

Your free to try and get it to work yourself but I can't afford to spend any time on it myself. I used to use project magenta, why don't you download a good freeware Airbus model?

Hi because i think your a320 is very realistic in flight dynamics and in weight and fuel balance. I also like very much your systems in this aircraft. If you dont have a problem i want to make a sugestion. Why you don't release a version for cockpit buildes in which the airsimmer aircraft and its systems to work in combination with the project magenta software? I think this will be very good release for all the airbus cockpit builders because i think all of us we need a good balanced ( in terms of fde and weights ) aircraft. I am using some freeware models but most of them they suffer in fde's or other things ( i have perform many tests with many freeware models but in they majority they don't act well , i am flying in real life ppl and also my two best friends which they are flying airbuses in real life they have helped me in many tests in many different situations with many freeware models so in this conclusion i have not come myself but with the help of really " experianced " users ).

I am typing from my iPhone so sorry if this doesn't come out correctly.

Ok, I see where you are coming from regarding a good Fdr for project magenta, I have never quite understood why they don't create base models for the software themselves? They are extremely talented and have been around for years, maybe you should bring it up with them?

I am still confused as to why you want to use Pm software and the AS bus? My understanding of PM is they supply the PFD, ECAM, systems etc.

My setup on the AS bus has the displays running on separate 14" screens and the main display running of a 50" LCD every switch on the aircraft can be assigned to hardware if I wanted to go all out and build a full flightdeck.  My original reason for going the pm route was so I could offload the displays to another pc and save CPU cycles for my fs machine, with modern hardware that's no longer a  problem however I still do have a second networked machine running active sky fsinn etc.

Well right now the basic and advanced are the priority, but who knows maybe some form of compatibilty may be considered for the future..

Ok i see so i need to do a couple of more questions. First i need to say that i have update to prepar 3d so i need your help to install
the ASbus there to do some tests there. The prepar 3d is like the fsx but more stable and with better perfomance but the install procedure is the same as it is in the fsx. In my prepar 3d pc currenlty i have one gtx 480 with the matrox tripple head to go showing only scenery ( a pseydo 135 degrres front view ) but i have two more spare nvidia cards i can install them so i can get a four more monitors to test ASbus systems with my cockpit. Second is there any possibylity for you to create a version in which the ASbus gauges will be able to run in separate pc's ( like pm )? And third i need to ask i have download the file " AsimA32xSL_Setup " from download section. Can you please give me a brief description what is this? Many thanks in advance.

Oh ok, I didn't know prepar was available to the general public, I thought it was only for commercial use with Lockheed? Before I say anything else are you aware that the AS A320 will 'only' work with FS9?

I should also make it clear that any support for 3rd party compatibilty is not available, However I am happy to help you get the Basic up and running on your system.

AsimA32xSL_Setup is the exe for the basic, it will still need to be purchased through flight1 once downloaded.

Ho Rob i have decided to install the a320 basic version to the prepar3d. First of all i have copy the fs9.exe to the main p3d folder. Then i have edited the registry keys of the fs9 to go to the p3d folder. Then i have run the setup and i have installed it and i have activated there with succes. After this i have edit the p3d.cfg to accept the aircrafts folder so i can be able to choose it from inside p3d menu. Until now everything is ok. Then i am starting the p3d in the default flight and then i go to menu and i choose the a320 basic version but then if i choose the ok button the p3d is crashing. Is something i am doing wrong? Also i want to ask if any news about the development and release of the a320 basic or the advance for the fsx or for the p3d? I think the fsx version it must be run inside p3d without any problems. Many thanks in advance.

George,

Out of curiosity, have you ever succesfully run an FS9-only aircraft in Prepar3D (or even FSX)?

Rafal it wont work. George, what your trying won't work, no matter how hard you try. Conversion to FSX has not even begun yet.

Hi, as an ET member and having my 1:1 cockpit, i would like to have a Cockpit Builder version, even if i need to pay more.

Can we expect that?
